Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a multinational direct hotel booking platform. Our respected client is seeking a professional with an understanding of the travel industry, a passion for technology and the drive and ownership to work in a start-up environment for the job of Business Development, to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Business Development would oversee the partners acquiring process and manage the monthly target to gather a number of prospect partner, including explain and negotiate regarding to the terms of service. The winning candidate must possess strong sales and good communication skill, beside strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork, ownership, and initiative.
Key job responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying new sales leads
  • Pitching products and/or services
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person

Key job requirements will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in sales role in any kind of industry
  • Excellent sales skills
  • Mobile person (90% field, 10% office)
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with the owner of the property
  • Good communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Proficient knowledge of PC software (MS Word and Excel etc)
  • Able to effectively communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia, in both written and oral forms
  • Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisation
